Staycation in Park City, UT

Another weekend, another quick trip! This time…Park City. I had never stayed the night there before, so I was excited to do that. Troy works so much, that whenever he decides to randomly take a Saturday off, we like to get out of town and really enjoy our time together as a family. We all love those times together, and Saylor especially loves the times when her Dad plays with her in ways that I won’t, haha.

We found a room at the Westgate Resort on VRBO. Troy booked it but I think it was slightly cheaper than going through the actual resort. This resort is tucked up against the mountain, at the base of the Canyons Village. I don’t ski or snowboard so none of that means anything to me, but the resort is surrounded by runs and lifts. There are so many restaurants and shops within a 5 minute drive. Main St. is also very close!

10 Month Old Remi Rowe

Can you believe it, 10 months old?! I sure can’t. I still feel like she is so baby-ish and little, and I love that. I want to soak in as much cuddles and nursing and loves as long as I can. She has grown so much this last month or so, and I’m really noticing it. She is still a tiny thing, which is one of the reasons why she still seems so much like a baby to me. She has 4 teeth, the 2 bottom and her 2 “i” teeth on top (her fangs) which is so funny! I never want to forget that. She’s like a little vampire and it’s so cute.

Family Photo Updates

We were so overdue for some new family photos, so we recently went to Camera Shy Photography in Lehi. If you live in Utah, you are probably familiar with them, as they have many locations. I had heard good things about them, and was excited to give them a try! Remi is finally sitting unassisted, and we can get her to smile (sometimes), so I thought now would be a good time to get some family pictures taken!

Saylor is 4.5 and as sassy as ever. Literally. She has SO much personality and I don’t know where she gets it. Okay, actually I do. Her dad, LOL. She is so funny and she keeps us laughing all day long. She is learning so much in preschool this year…she is starting to read and it is so much fun watching her learn. She is a great big sister and helps me a lot with Remi. She loves “egg mcmuffins”, yogurt, and basically any treats. She is still tiny for her age somehow, but I like her that way. She says that she wants to be a princess when she grows up, actually the tooth fairy, and her favorite thing to do is play with her friends and go to the park. She has a terrible habit of picking her fingernails, and is very particular about her hair, and loves wearing bright pink eyeshadow.

9 Month Old Remi

I am about a week early giving this 9 month update on Remi, but if I don’t do it while I have a few extra minutes & while I’m thinking about it, IT WON’T GET DONE. Haha! The struggle is real. I had every intention of being on top of Remi’s monthly updates, but I failed hard. I don’t know why it is so difficult to do, but when I’m busy with my 4.5 year old and running her around, trying to keep the house clean, trying to keep Remi happy…sometimes things I *intended* to do, just don’t make the priority list. AND THAT IS OKAY.

Collaborations & Influence Sites, Tips & Tricks

***Updated 3/1***

Hi! So I get a lot of questions regarding collaborations and that sort of thing, so I thought I would make a whole blog post about what I have learned, and some influencer sites that I use and my experience with them. I am in no way an expert, but I have enjoyed my experience with some and have gotten fun collaborations, so I wanted to share!

-My first tip is don’t be afraid to reach out to shops and brands that you want to work with. The worst they could say to you is no thank you, so I always say go for it!

Getting Back Into Shape with Flex Society

…maybe. Hahah.

Okay hear me out. I know I have said time and time again that I am going to start working out and get back into shape, but this time I really am holding myself to it! I think for my sanity alone, I need to “just do it” (no pun intended). I don’t know when I lost my affinity for working out, but I suppose it was sometime between the ages of 21-24. So a long, long time ago! Growing up I was so active and athletic, and I even feel like I’m so uncoordinated now. I don’t know what the heck happened, but it is going to change! And I want/need you to help hold me acocuntable.

On The Night You Were Born

As Remi gets close to 2 weeks old, I figured I better sit down and write out her birth story before #mombrain enters full effect. It seems so long ago already, and I can’t believe it has already came and went. I was beyond ready to not be pregnant, and I still can’t believe that I am not anymore! This post is for my own documenting purposes, and I hope that I don’t upset or offend anyone with my story.

So, rewind to about a month ago at my 38 week appointment. I was 3cm dilated and DONE. So uncomfortable, not sleeping, swollen, just ready to have this baby. I asked the midwife casually how long they would let me go over before they would induce me, and she says, “Oh…you have rights you know. Since this isn’t your first baby we can induce you a week early if you would like.” SAY WHAT?! That was music to my ears and just what I wanted to hear. I told her I would talk to my husband and see what he thought, and possibly even pick a day to be induced! What a dream! Lol. So I call Troy and we decide on Thursday, May 25th. That’s a good date. My half birthday, even. So they call me the night before and let me know that I am “on call” (whatever that means) until 10am, and if I don’t hear from them by then to call the hospital. 9:30am rolls around and I get the call! Be here at 10:30! It still didn’t feel real, even as we were walking up to the hospital it didn’t seem real that I was going to have a baby soon.

Belly Armor Blanket

Today I am excited to share with you a product I discovered while I was pregnant…and I so wish I had discovered it before! Belly Armor carries products that shield against everyday radiation, with up to 99.9% effectiveness. That is incredible! I know I am not the only pregnant lady who sits with her laptop propped up on her belly. When using a Belly Blanket, mom and baby are protected from non-ionizing radiation that can potentially be harmful.

Belly Armor has partnered with Healthy Child Healthy World to help address public health issues that affect our children, and empower parents in protecting their children from harmful environmental hazards. For every Healthy Child Blanket sold (pictured), $10 will be donated to the non-profit organization Healthy Child Healthy World. These products are safe from toxic chemicals, common allergens, heavy metals, and are completely 100% safe to use during pregnancy!

My Love of Freshly Picked

I have said it many times, and I won’t stop saying it anytime, but I love Freshly Picked! These were the first pair of shoes that fit Saylor properly, and she wore her first pair into the ground. FP is a small company from Utah, was featured on Shark Tank, and all around has an amazing story. They are very active in their community, in the mommy world, and with their customers. I love that!

Recently they came out with a new line of Mary Jane Moccasins. As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted them to be my next babies first pair! They are so very cute…and the scallop detail!? Obsessed.
