Getting Summer Ready with Aveeno Baby Suncare
Can you believe summer is already here?! I know in some places, it has already arrived. Here in Utah we have gotten a few teases of warm weather, but we have been enjoying some nice spring weather. Being a mom of young kids, I am ultra aware of sun protectant, now more than I ever have been. I want to protect their sensitive skin, and I have realized that you can get a sunburn even in 70 degree weather!
Picking a sunscreen was always stressful to me. There are so many choices, and they all claim to be the best, do the best job, most affordable, non-irritating…I could go on and on. You know what I am talking about. All I know is that my babies have sensitive skin and I try to use good products that don’t contain a bunch of junk on them.
I have personally used Aveeno lotion on myself for years, so when I found out they made a natural, mineral based sun blocker, I had to get on board! It is a 100% zinc-oxide UVA/UVB mineral protection, and also hypoallergenic. I picked mine up at Walmart. It comes in a 2 pack, which is super convenient because we go through sunscreen like crazy over here. The bottles are the perfect size…keep one in my diaper bag, one in the car, take it to the park, etc!
What I have also noticed about this sunscreen from Aveeno after using it a few times is that it actually helps my girl’s dry skin. Particularly Remi, she has really dry, sensitive skin. It seems to act as a lotion, and soothes and nourishes their skin by locking in the moisture. I never knew I needed that it a sun protectant!
The formula of this lotion is really great, also. It isn’t super thick, and it is easy to rub in and doesn’t leave you feeling like a complete grease ball. I like that it comes in a 2 pack, it saves you money in the long run! Be sure to head to your local Walmart and pick up the AVEENO® Baby CONTINUOUS PROTECTION Sunscreen Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and use the Ibotta offer and get $3 off.

A New Car Seat for Saylor
I have been looking at car seats for a few months, as I needed to transition Remi to a convertible car seat. I ideally wanted to give her Saylor’s, and have Say get a new one. Some of the things I was looking for in a new one was that it could transition into a booster, a cupholder (per Saylor’s request), that it had good reviews, and easy to install! I am passionate about car seat safety, so I was also wanting something that would be easy for my husband to understand and install.
While doing research, I found this MyFit Harness + Booster Car Seat. It was everything I was looking for. Added bonus, the LE version comes with a snack tray. Saylor thought that was the coolest thing ever. I am keeping Saylor in a 5 point harness for probably as long as possible (RE: until she is 14…kidding but I wish lol), so I liked that the harness mode weight limit is 65 pounds, and up to 100 pounds for the booster mode. The one pull harness tightener is also a game changer. It is so easy to do!
The seat was incredibly easy to install. The latches clicked right in and I was able to tighten them without feeling like I was going to lose a hand. The manual is easy to read and understand, yet thorough enough to leave you feeling like you know what you are doing. I love that the chest clip has a photo of wear it should go on your child (armpit level). Saylor is super comfortable in it and of course, loves her cupholders and snack tray.
As I mentioned above, I am passionate about car seat safety. It is something so simple to do, yet there are SO MANY careless people. Some are just uneducated, but I wish there was a simple way to let people know the best ways to keep our babies safe. Rear facing is safer than forward facing for children under the age of 2. If you can rear face for longer than 2 years, DO IT! Our little ones muscular and skeletal systems are still developing, and while rear facing during an accident, those systems are protected by the car seat. Chicco has developed a campaign to support this, and it is called the TurnAfter2 Campaign. You can learn all about it HERE. I would also recommend getting your car seats checked by a CPST, which you can find one in your area by just Googling! Sometimes baby stores offer them, like Baby Cubby if you are in Utah, and sometimes hospitals or fire stations have them on staff.
I hope this post made you rethink your car seat situation, and if you think you need to change a few things, then fix them! Re-read the owners manual, get your seat checked, tighten that harness…just do it for the safety of your kiddo. And definitely check out Chicco next time you are in the market for a new seat. You won’t be disappointed.

Carter’s Little Baby Basics Collection
As most of you know, Carter’s is a top mom’s go-to brands. You are guaranteed to find something for your child, and at an awesome price. Recently I was introduced to their Little Baby Basic collection, which I had to grab a few things for Remi from! This line is filled with cute, comfortable pieces perfect for babies from preemie to 24 months.
I’ve always love Carter’s onesies, I personally think they fit the best out of any others. They are not as wide as others, and longer, therefore they can be worn for a longer period of time! Which is great. Another thing I always, always get from Carter’s is their sleepers. I love them so much. They come in cute designs, and I love that a lot of pieces you can just keep on them all day long and still look fairly put together, haha, because #momlife. Sometimes you just wear jammies all day, and sometimes that is more often than not!
How cute is that bum design!? I love that.
Carter’s new line comes in boy and girl, as well as gender neutral, which is such a great option for those who don’t know the gender of their baby, who don’t like super gender specific things! They now have a great sale going on, where you can get 20% off $40+ through June 30th with code CART4342 online, or 066944 in stores. You can also find a Carter’s store near you using THIS.
I am pretty sentimental when it comes to my kiddos, and there is something special about the clothes they wear while hitting milestones. Coming home from the hospital, crawling, sitting up, sleeping through the night for the first time…you can find a piece of clothing for all these wonderful stages of life from Carter’s.
Remi is just crawling all over the place and getting into everything. I can not believe that she will be 1 soon. She is so tiny, so it makes her seem like she is still about 8 months old, haha. This cute outfit above, comes in a set with a tee and a bubble romper. It is pretty much 2 outfits in one, which I love!
Be sure you check on Carter’s latest line, the Little Baby Basics collection. You are sure to find something for someone in your life! Let me know your favorite pieces from there. They totally make great baby shower gifts, too!

10 Month Old Remi Rowe
When I was pregnant, I had every intention of taking the same month photos of Remi to document. How difficult could it be to take a single photo in the same set up, every month? Well, it has proven to be very difficult! Haha, I can’t tell you why, it just is. I have been wanting to use these milestone cards from JumpOff Jo, and I finally did. It wasn’t a complete failure! You can find these on Amazon, which, yes please, every person’s dream. They come with each month, as well as other cute milestones on the back, like “just sat up” or “just crawled”. These cards make a great gift and are fun to have!
I also got this cute, whimsical crib sheet from the same company. It is so cute & soft and fits Remi’s crib mattress perfectly. I love the unique design. It’s made of 100% super soft cotton, which offers a ton of benefits like moisture adsorption, temperature regulation, and is naturally comforting. Again, I had high hopes of taking a cute photo when Remi was sleeping, to position her like she was soaring or flying, but she is a light sleeper. Lol, oh well.
Remi has slept for 8 hours, 3 times in the last month, and I credit it to this sheet. LOL. Nothing else has changed though, so I don’t know what else it could be. You guys know how hard of a sleeper she has been for me (re: she wakes up ever 3-4 hours, even still), so I’m praying that she is going to become a good sleeper now! This cute crib sheet also makes a great gift, it is gender neutral and affordable!
For documenting purposes, Remi was about 15.5 pounds at her 10 month appointment, which was around 7th percentile. I can’t remember how long she was, but she was 30th percentile for that. Her hair has a reddish tint to it in some light, and her hands and feet are tiny and delicate. She does this cute thing where she scrunches her nose up just like her older sister used to do. She is finally crawling “normally” and not so much army crawling. We love her so much and I am so glad she is sleeping better!

Bookroo Subscription
Each month Saylor gets a cute package of 2 wrapped books. And I mean literally, wrapped! She loves it so much because she feels like she is really getting something special. I love that their company takes the time to make things special for the kids. It also comes with a little card, telling a bit about the books of the month.
The gift of books and reading never goes out of style…you literally can not go wrong by giving a kid books! Bookroo is so convenient, being a subscription based company you don’t ever have to think about it after you initial order. Love that. You can order once, or buy multiple months in advance to save even more. I also like that they carry books that I would have never gotten for my girls otherwise. We love reading together and I know we will be reading together for years to come.

When Sisters Become Friends
- This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
As the oldest of 3 girls, I grew up with 2 built in best friends. I won’t go into the details of the road we took to become friends (sorry, mom!), but we are the best of friends now & I love that my girls have the opportunity to develop that. It is amazing to see the connection they have, even from such a young age. Saylor is so motherly toward Remi, always wanting to help her and keep her away from her toys, haha!
Ever since before Saylor was born, Carter’s was our go to choice for clothing. They carry the cutest prints and styles, are affordable & have good sales, and their sizing runs more true to size than other baby/children’s clothes. I saved a lot of Saylor’s clothes for Remi, and as Remi grows, the nostalgia I feel when I go through her old clothes is bittersweet. I love that my girls can share the same clothes, and that they both can create memories in little outfits.
I asked Saylor what some of her favorite things to do with her sister are and this is what she said: “playing with her & reading books.”. I feel like that sums up our life pretty well! They play all day long and I love watching Remi become more interactive with Saylor. And Saylor loves it, too. She is the best big sister to Remi, they are so lucky to have each other.
I wanted to share a story with you guys, mainly for my own benefit and memory. Sometimes I forget how much Saylor has grown, and just how much of an independent little girl she is becoming. She had a St. Patrick’s Day party at preschool, and of course had to wear green! She wanted a new outfit so I took her shopping, just her and I, at Carter’s. I told her she could get whatever she wanted, thinking she would like a cute little themed holiday shirt or something. As soon as we enter the store, she sees all the beautiful Easter dresses displayed on a large section of the wall. She spots this green floral dress, and it’s over. She’s chosen her outfit and that is going to be it. It is no doubt a pretty dress, but for a preschool party, I thought? Let’s not, haha. I tried to convince her to choose cute green leggings or a more simple dress, but noooope. This frilly, fancy, green floral dress was the one. No matter that it was 45 degrees the day of her party! She has such a cute personality and is so strong willed, it was cute and funny to see her be so persistent and set on her St. Patrick’s Day dress choice.
Of course she had to show off her new pretty dress to her dad, and proceeded to do all sorts of funny poses and dance moves. I love this little girl and her silly personality! I have a feeling that I’ll be seeing a lot of this dress…on Saylor & Remi in a few years.
Here are the links to all the cute clothes you see in this post: Saylor’s GREEN DRESS, Saylor’s DINO JAMMIES, Remi’s UNICORN JAMMIES, Saylor’s WISH SHIRT, Remi’s PINK PANTS. I can’t find Remi’s top or Saylor’s cute star pants online, but I bought them in store on clearance and we love them.
Do you typically shop at Carter’s? If so, what do like to get there? Let me know!

Robyn
