Shape Mags with Say

I was recently introduced to the coolest toy and had to share with you. The company is Shapemags, and they make magnetic tiles in different shapes and colors. These toys allow creativity while making learning fun. I also love that it is something any age can play with and learn something…whether it is colors and shapes, or using their imagination more to see what they can build!

Our set of Shapemags came in a nice box, all organized and ready to play with. Saylor started playing with them immediately, and we currently have 3 different piles of her projects around the house. I had no idea she would be so into building things! Her set also came with a set of stilemags, which connect to the face of the tiles and are so fun! They come in numbers and letters, as well as images to use while building your creations!

Family Photo Updates

We were so overdue for some new family photos, so we recently went to Camera Shy Photography in Lehi. If you live in Utah, you are probably familiar with them, as they have many locations. I had heard good things about them, and was excited to give them a try! Remi is finally sitting unassisted, and we can get her to smile (sometimes), so I thought now would be a good time to get some family pictures taken!

Saylor is 4.5 and as sassy as ever. Literally. She has SO much personality and I don’t know where she gets it. Okay, actually I do. Her dad, LOL. She is so funny and she keeps us laughing all day long. She is learning so much in preschool this year…she is starting to read and it is so much fun watching her learn. She is a great big sister and helps me a lot with Remi. She loves “egg mcmuffins”, yogurt, and basically any treats. She is still tiny for her age somehow, but I like her that way. She says that she wants to be a princess when she grows up, actually the tooth fairy, and her favorite thing to do is play with her friends and go to the park. She has a terrible habit of picking her fingernails, and is very particular about her hair, and loves wearing bright pink eyeshadow.

9 Month Old Remi

I am about a week early giving this 9 month update on Remi, but if I don’t do it while I have a few extra minutes & while I’m thinking about it, IT WON’T GET DONE. Haha! The struggle is real. I had every intention of being on top of Remi’s monthly updates, but I failed hard. I don’t know why it is so difficult to do, but when I’m busy with my 4.5 year old and running her around, trying to keep the house clean, trying to keep Remi happy…sometimes things I *intended* to do, just don’t make the priority list. AND THAT IS OKAY.

Saylor’s New Room!

I have been wanting to update Say’s room for a while, get her a cute accent wall, some new bedding, and I FINALLY did it! I was able to collaborate with some of my favorite shops and companies for it, and I was so grateful to be able to do so. I am excited to share it with you, and hopefully give you some inspo for your little girls room!

First off I want to talk about her gorgeous bedding from Beddy’s. If you haven’t heard of them before, they are zipper bedding that fits like a fitted sheet. The length sides of the bed have zippers, so it makes it so very easy to “make” your bed. It is so perfect for Saylor. The inside of the top part is a soft minky material, so you don’t have to worry about being cold or having extra blankets. I gave Saylor a few options to choose from, and she chose this cute Vintage Blush II set. I love the soft pink color, and the ruffles that make it girly.

Starting Solids with Nuby

Hi all! Remi turns 6 months on Saturday (what?!), so starting her on solids has been on my mind the last few weeks. We choose to skip cereals and just introduce her around 6 months. I had been looking for a few things to make feeding her easier, and I am here to share a few of my favorite things that I have found!

First is this E-Z Squee-z. I have loved this. It is a soft, squeezable silicon bottle that promotes self feeding and is easy for little hands to hold. I simply pour a small amount of pureed food in it and let Remi figure it out. We have used it a few times and it is cute to see her figure out bringing it to her mouth and chewing/sucking on it.

Baby Shower Gift Idea’s for the New Mom

Hi all! I am sure we have all felt the pressure of finding a great gift for a new mom. Especially if you don’t have kids, it can be hard to know what is really needed and useful. Well I am here to let you in on a few products that are a sure hit.

(this face can be deceiving LOL)

I know when I was a new mom, creating my first baby registry, I didn’t think about putting things like diaper rash creams on it. There are many choices, and I didn’t even think about my baby getting a diaper rash, nonetheless what I would even do for it! After Saylor came, I quickly realized I needed something! Newborns poop literally all the time and their skin is so sensitive, it is pretty much inevitable. I so wish I had some Boudreaux’s Butt Paste® to help with my littles sore bum.

Remi’s Nursery Reveal

Well everyone, here it is! Remi’s room is still a work in progress, and at 4 months old, she still isn’t sleeping in there yet. Oh well! Seeing how Saylor never had a “real” nursery (we were in an apartment), I was excited to give Remi her own cute little space. I love girly, classic things and I think that shows in her room. I also wanted to find pieces that I could use for years, and possibly in other rooms down the road, not just as nursery decor.

Let Love Grow sign from August and April, floral headpiece from Mason & Harlow, moccs from Freshly Picked, crib sheet from Copper Pearl, crib from Wayfair, pouf from Target, and gorgeous wallpaper from Milton & King.

Double Stroller Fun with Evenflo

Thank you to Evenflo for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

I was so excited to partner with Evenflo on their Minno Twin Double Stroller. Remi hates her car seat, so I was on the hunt for a functional double stroller. What I liked about this Evenflo stroller, is that the girls could be side by side, so Saylor could help Remi, and Remi could see her. I was also looking for something that would be lightweight and easy to fold up. Ain’t nobody got time to lug a big, chunky stroller around with 2 kids.

Safe Sleep with Halo

Does anyone else’s kid love to be swaddled? Remi will not sleep without being all wrapped up tight. Otherwise her arms always flail around and she’ll wake herself up, it is pretty funny.  Saylor never liked being swaddled, so I have been on the hunt for the perfect swaddle that keeps Remi tight and that she can’t escape out of!

What I love about this Halo Sleepsack Swaddle is that you can swaddle them 3 different ways. As your baby grows, so does this swaddle. It is a soft, breathable material and comes in super cute patterns. I also love that it zips from the bottom up, so you don’t have to unswaddle them completely for diaper changes! I appreciate that Halo is passionate about Safe Sleep situations, and tries to educate us. Their swaddles are made so our babes don’t need any extra blankets…it really gives me peace of mind that Remi is comfortable, warm enough, and not needing anything extra! We need to do our very best to keep our littles safe, and that can start from where and how they sleep. You can find out more about sleep safety HERE.

Nursing Faves with Bamboobies

I have talked about my love for Bamboobies before, and now that I have been nursing for a month, I’m here to tell you my favorites products and why! I am blessed that nursing has come easy for me, but really great products make it even easier. Since the hospital, I have lived, and I mean lived 24/7, in these nursing tanks. They are soft, so comfortable (not too tight or too loose), and the perfect amount of support. I don’t want to put anything else on.

Their nursing pads are also my favorite. The reusable ones are SO SOFT and “cutesy”, not that it matters, but it helps! And the disposable ones are the perfect size and don’t get all gross after 2 seconds.
