When we moved into our house just over 2 years ago, everything was pretty standard. Most of the finishes were builder grade, so it allowed us to put our own touch on things. Troy and I are NOT handy people, so it took some time finding the right people to do the jobs we needed. Even if they were as simple as changing a faucet out, lol!
I found Build.com while doing my usual browsing of home improvements and interior design on Instagram. You can find the best inspiration on there! I was immediately drawn to the bright and modern style of Build.com. I also saw that they are based out of Chico, CA, which is super close to where I am from in Northern California! Such a random connection, and I love anything that makes me feel nostalgic about home.
Learning to Relax & Take Care of Myself
Thank you iHerb for sponsoring this post!
Does anyone else have a hard time relaxing and taking time for yourself? I know I do! Of course I love to relax and pamper myself, but sometimes being a mom to 2 busy little girls impedes that. There are days that are so stressful and long, that I will literally force myself to take a bath or do a face mask…something that simply takes 10 minutes but is a sure way to elevate my spirits and make me feel relaxed.
iHerb carries about 1,200 brands and over 35,000 products that you would typically find at health food stores and natural pharmacies, and their prices are much more affordable. Shopping with them is easy breezy, and all orders in the US over $20 ship free. They also ship to over 160 countries and have customer support available in 10 languages…now that is really cool.
PINCHme Box
Do you guys love free samples as much as I do? Especially full size ones, right? There are so many fun ways to get samples these days, and I’m so glad that PINCHme reached out to me and offered to send me a box full of awesome things to try out. I could hardly wait to see the goodies I would be getting! Trust me when I say I was not disappointed, and there was even something in there for Troy to try. Win, win! OH, have I mentioned that you can get all these samples from PINCHme for FREE? Well yeah, it’s free.
How to Combat Dry Hands in the Winter
Does anyone else get reallllly dry skin in the winter time? I do! Not just on my hand either, everywhere! I’ll scratch myself raw…but that is another story for a different day. Today I’m talking about how I keep my hands nice and soft, instead of dry, cracked, and even bleeding.
My first must have is a great scrub, made with a good oil base that will remain on your hands to moisturize. Sometimes scrubbing my hands too much can make them worse if I am using a crappy scrub, so this is key. This Vanilla Cream Latte Scrub from Spa Thyme is everything I look for in a scrub. It’s made up of ingredients like almond and coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and then a few natural ingredients to make this the BEST SMELLING THING EVER. I promise there is no exaggeration on that, either. Bonus, it is super affordable too!
Baby Shower Gift Guide!
Does anyone feel like they are really good at giving baby shower gifts? I do! Haha, honestly though, being a mom has made me really aware of what to give for gifts. Before having Saylor, I was a big giver of clothes, which don’t get me wrong, clothes are amazing to get because, duh, our babies need clothes! But, now I give gifts based on a few things. First, necessary things that you will need for a long time (IE diapers, wipes, diaper bag!). And second, things that you wouldn’t necessarily buy for yourself, things that you wouldn’t think you need, or things that you may not have heard of (IE DockATot, Solly wrap, Milestone Cards).
Our Nightly Routine!
Ever since Saylor was a newborn, we have given her a bath every night before bed. I don’t wash her hair every day, or even get it wet, but taking a bath became part of our routine early on. Saylor has always loved the bath, and it’s been a great way to get the last of her energy out, as well as getting clean before getting into bed. Want to know the best part of taking a bath? Getting out and putting on jammies! Seriously though, Say right out of the bath, dressed, with wet hair is my favorite!
Well-Liked Wednesday
Do you like my synonym for “must have” and “favorite”? I have such a way with words, haha. Here are a handful of my latest favorites:
First Time Mom?
Being a first time mom, I am constantly scouring the Internet and Instagram for the latest and greatest. I love baby gear, and finding new products or accessories that I can’t live without. (Sorry, Troy!) I am NOT an expert, just a lady who has tried lots of different things and is here to share what you absolutely NEED! I can’t possibly cover everything in one post, so this will be a start.
–Nursing? You need nipple cream and nursing pads (I preferred the reusable kind). Also, a good nursing cover! BONUS, this one can be used 3 ways!
The Hot Iron Holster
Have you guys heard of this company? These Holsters are made of silicon and they cling to any smooth surface. Can you imagine the possibilities!? They honestly clear up so much counter space. They can not only be used in the bathroom, but in the craft room, toy room, or kitchen! Sounds like a dream to me. They come in a variety of different colors and sizes, which I love.
Be sure to head HERE and pick one up today. Use code Robyn20 for 20% off your order!!

Salis Skincare Giveaway!
I may sound repetitive bringing up Salis Skincare again, but I don’t care! When I find a good thing, I need to share it. And Laura has so generously allowed me to give away $75 shop credit to one lucky winner…see my IG on how to enter. Salis offers the best natural skincare products, and they have changed my skin. I went to see Laura back in February for a facial and all around skin consultation. She suggested I use her Lavender and Jasmine Scrub, Blackhead Removal Mask, take Mineral Support, and try and be aware of what foods I eat that may affect my skin.
