Friday Shopping Haul

I had a pretty good day shopping today…but then again, when isn’t shopping a good thing? I got some sweet deals and I wanted to share! I hit up Nordstrom Rack and Ulta, located conveniently down the street from me! You know I came home and price matched everything, to be sure I’m getting the best price.

Here are my goodies from the Rack…

I’ve been wanting a neutral colored cross body, and found just what I was looking for in this Kate Spade!

I found these ADORABLE gold sea wees, size 1, for only $10! No, I’m not pregnant, and they definitely don’t fit Saylor, but I had to have them at that price! The best I could find online was at diapers.com…I found code RMNDIAPERS20, and if you spend more than $49 they’ll ship for free.

Tennis Shoes

I love a good pair of Nike’s. It seems that growing up, the brand of shoes that you mostly wore, sticks with you. I have friends who prefer Adidas and Asics, but I have always gone with the Nike’s. I have especially loved the casual, sporty shoe trend lately. I really need a pair of their Roshe’s…I’m surprised I don’t own one or 3 pairs yet. But I can’t decide on a color! HELP! Here are my top faves, and please tell me which you like best!

Plain white, always a good choice.

Summer Shoe Trends!

After browsing the Internet for shoes, like I do multiple times a week, I thought I should hit up trusty Google to see what the actual “trends” of the upcoming summer of 2016 is. Don’t be mistaken, I’m no fashion guru who follows trends and knows what is in season, past season, you get the idea. Generally I like what I like, and wear what I want when I want. I was impressed with some things I found, and am here to share my faves.

–BLOCK HEELS…love these ones from Asos, on sale too!

A Few DISNEYLAND Tips!

For those of you who follow me on IG, (@robynmeacham), you know that we LOVE Disneyland. We have annual passes and were super sad when we moved to Utah. Lucky for us, we have family in Southern California that we visit often so we are still able to use them! It has been so fun watching Saylor grow and become familiar with characters and rides, and get excited about things.

Today I’m going to talk about a few of my personal “must do’s” when going to D-Land. I am in no way a Disney expert, but I like to think I know a little more than some! 🙂

BRITAX SALE!

If anyone is like me, you find yourself scouring the internet for things you don’t really need. I love finding a good deal, especially with baby gear!

Britax has been our go to car seat brand since Saylor was a baby. I like the way they look, but more importantly, they are among the safest out there. Their new “click tight” bases can even last 10 years!

I found a great deal for the Britax B-Agile B Safe travel system in Sapphire on diapers.com, on sale for only about $335 shipped! Use code THOUSANDS at checkout, and you’ll get up to $35 off.

Pretty Utah & Pretty Dress

This weekend Troy came home (yay!) and we took a drive up the American Fork canyon to the Tibble Fork Reservoir. The weather has been so nice lately and yesterday was no exception.

Recently I found this new shop on Instagram that I quickly became obsessed with, @shopsevan! I love supporting small businesses, and I knew that as soon as I saw this perfect light lime lace dress I had to have it. The length is perfect, the sleeves are perfect, and the lace detail is perfect…you get it.

I love this dress for summer, it is so airy and light. Make sure you wear a slip under it, like the Essential Slip from Downeast, because the dress is totally sheer. I would also suggest sizing down in the dress, and sizing up in the slip!

Motherhood

“You are magnificent. You are doing terrifically well…” -Jeffrey R. Holland

I’ve been feeling a little sentimental and sappy and full of love lately, mostly for and because of my Saylor. After all, she made me a mother, she is literally my heart outside of my body. It is something that no one can explain in the right words, but I know I am not alone in this feeling. I look at her and I can cry because of how much I love her and how much I want and hope for her. Motherhood is scary and overwhelming. It’s all-consuming and can keep you up at night. Sometimes you feel that you can’t do anything right. Please know that you are doing everything right. You are everything your children want and need. It is worth it, and I hope that you know YOU are worth it.

Monday Must-Have’s!

I am excited to do my first “Monday Must-Have’s” post today. Each Monday (hopefully), I will share a few things I am currently loving. These things could be fashion related, beauty related, food, things for Saylor…pretty much anything. Today I’m going to go in the BEAUTY direction.

-First things first, my favorite current obsession, the Makeup Eraser. My sister told me about this and it sounded like a lazy girls dream. You get it wet and wipe your face with it, and it removes all makeup. No soap or face wash needed. GLORIOUS! It is machine washable and you get tons of use out of it. I use it about 4 times between each wash. I bought mine at Sephora.

To Work Out or Not To Work Out?

Does anyone actually like to work out? I’m convinced that whenever anyone says they love it, they are LYING. Real talk, I haven’t been to the gym in like 4 years. I can’t remember the last time I CHOSE to work out. I’m fairly lucky, thanks to genetics, that I have a decent metabolism. But I am at the point (err, age, #pushing30), where I notice I can’t eat like I used to be able to. DANG IT!

My husband tries to get me to go to the gym with him all the time, but I always come up with an excuse like I don’t want to put Saylor in the daycare (which is true!). I think the time has come for me to suck it up and start going back to the gym. Growing up and all through high school I was super athletic, I played volleyball and basketball, and was a cheerleader. Will someone tell me why I hate working out now?!
