After 6-ish LONG months, our basement project is finished! My sister and BIL are going to be living with us for the next 4 years, so we had big plans for our unfinished basement for them.
We decided on a full function kitchen for them, and so when we sell down the road we can claim a true second kitchen/”MIL quarters”. We also decided on one bedroom with a big closet, and full bathroom, and a large living room.
I am excited to share the kitchen with you today! It was definitely a labor of love and it was exciting to see it finally get all put together. I had a specific idea of the finishes that I wanted, and I have to say it turned out perfectly!
I want to talk about a few of my favorite details of the space, the first being the paint color. I have wanted light blue cabinets for so long, and I was excited to finally have a chance to do it! Finding the perfect shade was overwhelming! I discovered Clare Paint and was immediately impressed by the streamlined process and color selections. I had a handful of color swatches sent to me, and ultimately decided on Headspace. It is BEAUTIFUL and everything I wanted. It is a clean paint, brings a calmness to the space, and will be durable throughout the years. I highly recommend Clare for any of your paint projects!
Next thing I want to talk about is the beautiful light fixture from Kichler Lighting! Again like the paint color, I had an idea of what I wanted, and Kichler delivered that! A gold/brass finish, something timeless, and that would put out a good amount of light. As soon as I saw their Erzo style I knew it was the one. I wish I could explain just how beautiful it is in person! Kichler has hundreds on hundreds of products, for any room!
Last but CERTAINLY not least, is our beautiful sink and faucet from Elkay! I honestly could die over them. I had my heart set on a farmhouse sink, I think they are just so pretty! I found this quartz one from Elkay and had never seen anything more beautiful in all of my life, haha! The size of it alone makes it amazing. It is the perfect baby bathing sink! Elkay also carries beautiful faucets to make their beautiful sinks, and you can find the one we chose, here. We couldn’t be more happy with our sink choice, they really pull the space together.
