Easy DIY Fluffy Slime!

Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids? I have the perfect thing for you. Saylor has been into that gross fart slime lately, so I knew this was perfect for us. This video (see HERE) showed up in my FB feed and I thought it seemed totally easy to do! No weird ingredients. All you need is:

Elmer’s Glue
Shaving Cream
Baking Soda
Contact Solution
Food Coloring (optional)
Foaming Hand Soap (optional)
Goo Gone

In the original video I went off of, they made a huge batch, so I cut that in half. The amount of slime that I made was perfect for 2 kids, and would have worked well for up to 4 in my opinion. All you do is:

Jord Wood Watch!

Shown above is my women’s watch, in Dark Sandalwood. I wanted to really show the beautiful wood, that is so gorgeous and rich in color. A few people stopped me the first time I wore it and asked “Is that a wood watch?”, “That is really cool!”…so basically don’t wear it if you don’t want to get asked about it 🙂 A watch can definitely make or break an outfit, and a Jord wood watch definitely helps to MAKE! Do you like my synonym for “must have” and “favorite”? I have such a way with words, haha. Here are a handful of my latest favorites:

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Split Pans, in Champagne Pop and Flowerchild. My most favorite highlighter and blush combo.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer…a MUST have! This regular mascara is my favorite, and the primer in addition to it just takes it up a notch.

Kylie Lip Kit in Koko K…THIS IS CURRENTLY IN STOCK SO HURRY AND GET ONE!!! This is the most perfect shade. I don’t super love how drying it can be throughout the day, so I apply some Carmex every so often.

Naturscrub Cosmetics Essential Oil Infused Walnut Exfoliator in Ylang Live Lavender. I honestly feel that everyone needs this! Back To (PRE)School!

For those of you with older kids, this is all routine and old news to you. But to others with their first kid, like myself, starting (pre)school in the fall, I thought it would be fun to put together a small list of some back to school essentials! Obviously in preschool they don’t need much of anything, but here are some fun idea’s of a few things they might need.

A BACKPACK! Of course. I try to steer clear of character anything (sorry, Saylor!), but I love these animal SkipHop Backpacks from Target. One thing that Saylor’s teacher told me, and I wouldn’t have even thought about it, was to send them with a full sized backpack, or at least big enough for papers to fit in it. Littles can get frustrated with trying to cram everything in there.

2. NEW OUTFIT…duh! This is the best part. Gap has a ton of cute stuff right now, and they always have good sales.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Because I am the only person to have not yet talked about the Anniversary Sale, here are the few goodies I purchased today! Honestly I felt that some of their deals weren’t in fact that good of deals, but I am happy with the few things I got.

BP Open Front Cardigan…I got it in olive green and it is perfect for fall.

BP Long Sleeve Tunic Tee…this burgundy color is so pretty and it’s super comfy.

STS Blue Ponte Pants…these pants are SO COMFORTABLE & I predict lots of wear out of them.

4th of July…A Little Late

I know it’s been over a week since the 4th of July, but I had to share some pictures from a shoot Say and I did with a local photographer in Phoenix. We met Alex from @thirdavenuephoto (follow her on IG HERE) at Papago Park in Scottsdale at 6:30pm one night, and it was still 110 degrees.

It was pretty brutal, so we tried to make it as quick as possible. I was so glad Saylor cooperated for at least a solid 20 minutes so we could get some cute shots of her. By the end we were both looking like (literally) hot messes!

It’s finally Friday, YAY. It has been quite a long week, with not a lot of family time (re: none), so I’m so looking forward to 4pm tomorrow when we can spend some time together! It is so hot here in Arizona, I think Sunday will be spent in the mountains, actually does AZ even have mountains? Regardless, it will be spent somewhere COOLER. Here are some of my recent FAVORITE things!

L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation– this new product is AMAZING! Good luck finding it in stores, I went on a wild goose chase conquering 15 stores to find it, and found the last one in my color, haha. You’d be better off ordering online and using Ulta coupons.

Round Towel Trend

Are you a fan? I am! Some are SO expensive, I have a hard time paying $100+ for something that is basically a photo prop…sorry but that is the truth!

Fool Proof Summer Hair Ideas for your Littles!

If you are like me, you aren’t exactly skilled in the hair department. I have about 2 looks that I rotate for Saylor. And if you have a daughter who is like mine, almost 3 and still doesn’t have long enough hair for one pony tail…this post is for YOU! I experimented with 3 different looks, styles that leave no hair down because it is hot has Haiti here. These are particularly easy, and don’t take more than 5 minutes!

The first is a 3 pony mohawk. Cute and seriously so easy! This one was Saylor’s favorite. All you have to do is divide the hair into 3 horizontal sections, and pony them! Easy, and as cute, as pie.
