Happy Thursday, everyone! This week has been so long and very eventful, I am glad it is almost over. We decided to buy a new couch, sell our old one and a couple of chairs, have a backsplash put up & a new light fixture in our dining room…all spur of the moment decisions, and all while Remi has been not sleeping and fussy. I’m starting to wonder if she is a little colicky, but that is a post for another day.
The weather has been SO hot and humid here lately, so honestly I haven’t been going out much! It doesn’t help that Remi hates her carseat, and I don’t shower 50% of the time…haha #momlife. When it isn’t too hot, we like to go on a little walk around the neighborhood. I actually think Remi enjoys the warm weather and that it relaxes her.
Momsense
As a new mom again, I’m learning about all sorts of new baby companies. Companies with products I had no idea that I needed. You NEED so much stuff as a Mom! If you are nursing or have nursed before, you understand me when I say that I worry if my baby is getting enough. With Saylor, I took measures to ensure I was (over) producing, because I didn’t want to starve my baby! This time around I understand my body a little bit better, but how are you ever sure that your baby is getting enough?
Mama Martina Diaper Bag
As a mom, and soon to be new mom all over again, I was on the hunt for a new diaper bag! Since Saylor has been potty trained I haven’t used an actual diaper bag in quite some time. I was looking for something practical, cute, lightweight and affordable. Insert Mama Martina here. I found her site while doing some late night baby gear researching, and I’m so glad that I did!
I was immediately drawn to the basic stripes and the PRICE. They are so very affordable for the size and quality. The great reviews were good to see, too! I love that they come with a changing pad, stroller straps, cross body strap…all of these things that usually make for a very expensive bag.
The Constant, Unavoidable Question…
…”Sooooo, when are you having another baby?”
<insert eye roll> Am I right?
As I was sitting here minding my own business, watching Laguna Beach reruns for the umpteenth time, I get a random text from an old friend asking when I was going to give Saylor a sibling. Seriously?! No “Hi! How ya doing?!” first??!! Shoot straight, why don’t ya?
I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked this since Saylor has been born. She just turned 3! Give me a break! One thing that I learned from becoming a mom is that what you thought and planned when you were younger, goes out the window. 2 year age gap sounds perfect right? The thought of getting and being pregnant when Saylor was barely a year old soon became comical to me. I couldn’t imagine!
