Another slime recipe! I know, I know…but it is SO popular right now, so easy, and it keeps my toddler entertained for so long. Honestly she played for almost an hour and a half by herself this afternoon after we made it. Can I get a hallelujah?! If you are a mom, you know how nice a little quiet time is. Anyways, I am going to tell you the recipe I used to make my slime, and how I will make it next time. I probably made a few “mistakes” (the slime still turned out totally fine), but next time I make it I will do a few things differently.
Recipe that I followed:
1/4 C water
1/4 C white craft glue
1/4 liquid starch
optional: food coloring
I combined all ingredients together and started mixing. Immediately I could tell that it was going to be super runny, and not exactly the best slime. I tried using a whisk to help combine the ingredients but it didn’t do much. Saylor loved playing in the goo but I was getting nervous about getting food coloring everywhere. This is where I blame pregnancy brain, but I thought it would be a really smart idea to use paper towels to remove the excess liquid…not even thinking that it would completely stick to the paper. FAIL! Haha…it did help and luckily I was able to salvage most, but I don’t recommend that method. I don’t recommend using water at all for this recipe.
THE RECIPE I WILL FOLLOW NEXT TIME, AND THE ONE YOU SHOULD FOLLOW:
1/4 C Liquid Starch
1/4 C Elmer’s Glue
2 drops food coloring
-mix together well and enjoy. Avoid clothing! Store in an air tight container and it will last for a long time! This recipe is a good amount for 2. Double, triple, etc according to how many you want to make for. Enjoy!
Let me know if you try this recipe and what you think of it!
xo,
Robyn
